TROGIR

 |
20 km from Rogoznica
Trogir stands on an island very close to the dry land to which is linked by a bridge.
It was founded by Illirians and then conquered first by Greeks, then by Romans and in the more recent times by Venetians who left their architectural sign to the city.
One can make a promenade in narrow streets, admiring great palaces in Venetian style and white stone-built houses, typical of this place. |

Worth of mention is the central square, where a masterpiece of the Venetian architecture, S. Laurence' Cathedral stands.
For its beauty, Trogir is Unesco's World Heritage. |
