SPLIT

 25 km from Rogoznica
Only second to Zagabria, Spalato is the most important city of Croatia and, despite its ancient origins still witnessed by the stone-made buildings of the historical center, nowadays it is a modern city fully oriented to tourism. Particularly, the promenade and the historical center are enriched by several shops, restaurants, pubs and discos.
Absolutely not to forget to visit is the magnificent Diocleziano Palace, built by means of white stone and sorrounded by mighty walls. Diocleziano Palace is considered one of the most important Roman ruins in the world and in spite of the architectural changes made through the centuries, nowadays it still keeps its unforgettable charm. The heart of the palace is made up by a Peristilio, which was the entrance to the imperial areas and to Diocleziano Mausoleum, later on changed in a cathedral between the 12th and 16th century.
For those fond of art and history, we recommend to visit the Arheoloski Muzej, where you can admire archaeological finds of the nearby Roman town Salona.
Visiting time: 1 day

TROGIR

 20 km from Rogoznica
Trogir stands on an island very close to the dry land to which is linked by a bridge. It was founded by Illirians and then conquered first by Greeks, then by Romans and in the more recent times by Venetians who left their architectural sign to the city.
One can make a promenade in narrow streets, admiring great palaces in Venetian style and white stone-built houses, typical of this place. Worth of mention is the central square, where a masterpiece of the Venetian architecture, S. Laurence' Cathedral stands.
For its beauty, Trogir is Unesco's World Heritage.

 25 km from Rogoznica
Sibenik was founded by the first Croatian tribes and up to now it keeps a very characteristic historical center that dates from the 15th and 16th century, the time when the city could acknowledge its greatest splendour under the Venetian domination.
The heart of the historical center is represented by the square with S. James' Cathedral, whose external walls are decorated by 71 heads figuring all the different types of human personalities, and the Town Hall perfectly rebuilt after the bombing endured during the war.
Sibenik's promenade is dotted by several bars, restaurants, pubs and discos which represent a special destination worthing a cheerful night all together.
